I didn't say anything improved, I'm just saying if the soldiers let them go, wouldn't that go against their morals? (ie: not stealing)

One question now of you since you ask questions and expect answers. Should not the punishment fit the crime? The wood in the video which as you said I have not watched looks to me to be the remains of a wooden transport pallet. If the previous laws are judge to be harsh and the West invaded to improve the life of Iraqs. What has improved that much?

Don't try to insult me, you're getting close. Anyways, all laws (and rules) are meant to be broken. It's just that there's usually a system in place to prevent it from happening again. How could these soldiers have prevented these people from stealing again? By following them around for a year? Or taking away what they were using to steal with to make stealing more difficult in the future? (ie crushing their looting car) Sounds better than getting your hands cut off.

Certainly not a tank, but you may have faced a penalty. Since there are no laws over in Iraq, the only option the soldiers had to prevent them from stealing again was to take away their car. I didn't see any tow trucks around. In the US, or Canada, if the Government wants you to stop doing something, they penalize you. How is it possible for soldiers to penalize someone, in hoping that they don't commit crimes again?

All people except laws when they protect them but fight laws when they break them - that is our nature! How many laws do you break a day? Speeding, taking something home from work, etc. Please don't say you don't or you are a statistical abnormality and no offence a lair. I break several a day but in my conscience, I tell myself I'm bending them or have no choice.

FOR THE RECORD: I am not mad at America!!!! I was born in England. My homeland stood beside America in Iraq. I am now a Canadian. Canada continues to stand beside the US in Afghanistan. One of my friends did two tours there. SO DO NOT TRY TO IMPLY THAT!!! I live on the border with the US and have many friends in the US. But I do not have to agree with the UK, Canada or the UK's foreign policy or their and my thirst for gasoline!

So, you're saying that Americans have laws that we think are harsh, but Iraqis don't think their laws can be harsh just as much as ours can be? Or do they accept their harsh laws without discontent? Anyways, you avoided my original question. If the car was the man's livelihood as a taxi driver, why did he loot with it?

I was answering you in a round about way. I have stopped and picked up stuff with my car. My car is my means to transport, especially in winter, to get to my job. If I lost my car, I would have a very tough time maintaining my employment. When I stopped for my wood" (furniture), I was not thinking that a tank would come along and crush my car.

I like how nobody answers this question: If the car was his livelihood, why was he stealing?You can't answer because you're too busy getting mad at America. Just answer the question and stop changing the subject. You can have your opinion, just answer the question first.
