He was a perfect lyricist but his poetry was highly subjective and very cursury. His poetry was filled with ramblings mostly. I read his books of poetry and threw em out a day later.

That is so terrible. I wonder how much it has changed. I was able to go right after 9-11 and it was crazy! People were doing drugs and having sex near his grave, lots of grafitti everywhere. They threw us all out at sunset. But I've heard that they cleaned the place up and have security present all day long. I don't know if it's true, but I'm sure Jim would have wanted us true fans to party on his grave! ;-)
