yes, it does. you are postulating that there is an infinitely powerful being, who created everything there is, and is infinitely intelligent, and yet he loves you and cares about the things that you do. you also believe that this creator is going to let you go to heaven with him even though he says no one is worthy, and that all of the people who lived their lives as good people but didn't believe in him deserve to be punished for eternity, even if they were more loving and caring than you.

If I come across smug and arrrogant, sorry-not my intention. Know it all? Far from it. Did I say I was a scientist? I just see God in creation, I commented on it, and look at the reaction. Does that really come across as stupid to you?

What I find kinda crazy is how all these people writing here, can argue about anything this man is saying.Everything stated is true,Whats to argue?????

i don't get mad at rudeness or stupidity. i get mad when a stupid person like yourself comes on ehre with this smug confidence and arrogance. it's one thing to have strong convictions, but when you act like you know it all, it pisses people off. youare not a qualified scientist. you took remedial science classes and you think you can't just shake your head at scientific theories without even taking time to learn anything about them except what your christian websites say. that's why i get testy

yeah their all the same being except jesus talks to the father and the holy spirit had to come to jesus when he was a child and tell him that he was the son of god. why? did god wipe his own memory before being born?

You atheists sure get testy when someone doesn't see it your way. Why call me a retard, you're the one frothing at the mouth.

Actually, according to Christianity, Christ is the second person in the three person God-head-"One in being with the Father."

believing in god stunts intellectual development. it is no longer important to find out why things are the way they are, because your answer becomes "god dunnit". religion was the cause for the dark ages. also, religion has been the primary cause of most of the atrocities in human history, and has always sought to increase its power and influence. hardly ever does a organized religion actually seek to help people as its main goal. that job is usually secondary to acquiring dominance over man

it's not arrogance. it is simply realizing that the superstitions of the past are no longer relevant, and should be treated as fable and myth, not as a guide for societal structure. it is clear that none of the religions are true, and while we can never prove definitively that some form of a god might exist, we do know for certain taht if he did he would not be one that wished to control human lives.

I can accept that. I was responding more to the earlier poster.I do find it frustrating that religion and science are posed as conflicting interests. They could and should be quite complementary. I would wager than religion has proved more adept at posing questions and science more adept as answering them. Thats the very epitome of a complementary relationship. |
